2007 – 2008 MARKET REPORT

                                                                  ALASKA

Dear Trapper:

Last season proved very disappointing compared to the previous year’s record levels.

You must realize the fur market is very volatile; unfortunately this is something we have no control over.  Below are my conservative price levels for 2007 – 2008 season Prices are in U.S. Dollars

SABLE                      Very Good Demand.  Would be happy with last May’s sale levels.

TOP – XXL $95 - $100, XL $80 - $85, LGE $75, MED $45.

AVE – XXL $70 - $75, XL $60 - $65, LGE $50 - $55, MED $28 - $32.  These averages  - Free of third section, inferior goods.

Very Important. All Alaska Sable and Lynx must    be marketed on one market, namely Fur Harvesters Auction Inc. at North Bay, Ontario.

At present 95% of all Sables and Lynx produced in the N.W.T. are sold here, 80% from the Yukon and approximately 65% - 70% from Alaska.  These are the best in North America and intersort well which creates large strings demanding higher prices.  Remember we are working for the trapper.
